Hmm. . .
Well, the beginning of the week was exciting!
I haven’t posted because there really hasn’t been much going on after Marty was released into the wild world of Llanview. Maybe it’s just me, but it’s been quite boring?!
OLTL , as most soaps, are just so much more fun when there is drama going on. I mean, Rex is now with Gigi, but they are busted and boring as hell! Jessica is still trying my nerves playing victim and mental. Not to mention, Jared and Natalie’s faces aren’t helping! Starr’s situation is just so sad, but at least the Wicked Witch of Llanview, has the balls to investigate and find out what’s really going on! No one else is questioning how unreal the baby’s death seems. Langston and Markko had a good run, but have now faded back into the realm of obscurity. Brody still needs to find a woman. Where the funk is Layla? Can Michael take his ignorant behind home and stand by Marcie? Johnny McBain played superhero and now is just a dumb ass who doesn’t want to take credit where credit is due. He would’ve kept his position on the force and remained free. What’s he going to do now? Play vigilante once again so that he can take down the mayor on his own call? Probably. He likes playing Batman minus Robin. However, I also know he’s still thinking about Marty and Dorian is absolutely right. Blair has some work to do. She’s been fooling herself is she believed her milkshake was that good! Then again, Blair’s actions are so ho-tastic, she probably never even thought about John still being in love with Marty. Ha! I hope Marty does resume a relationship with John. I’m sorry, but the scenes aren’t working when she is playing mother/son with Cole. I know the chick has had a brain fart, but unh uh. . . . Susan Haskell and Brandon Buddy have no chemistry whatsoever. Maybe it will get better along the way? WHAT ABOUT TODD? (Sorry for the caps. Just thinking of one of my favorite movies, “What About Bob?”) Todd was a punk, but he looks so terrible that I will now admit to feeling bad for him. I am wondering what he was thinking about as he faced the mirror and thought about how he changed his face? I have a feeling that OLTL is going to bring back the ‘Todd Scar’. (Don’t do it!!!). I am probably wayyyy off, but the way Todd removed the bandage from the stitches and touched his face made me think about Roger Haworth and the scar he was forced to wear. And it seems as if Todd is leaning towards letting his scars show after what he did to Marty (and Starr). Those scars were the reminders of the monster he once was in the past. And I think he will use them again to remind himself of how “ugly” of a person his.

I completely agree that Marty is pretty boring now that she’s free in Llanview. Nora said that she could keep her safe from the media and nosy people at the Buchanan mansion but I don’t see any frenzy about her return to the living world. Boring.
I also agree that Gigi and Rex are boring… but I wish they would be pushed to the back burner after we had to watch them for weeks and weeks doing the stupid 1968 storyline. It was silly and now I need a Rigi break. And I’m talking about several weeks, not just 4 days. Same goes for Jared and Natalie. They need to disappear for a bit. Sadly, these couples are part of RC’s big master plan to ruin OLTL so I think we’ll be seeing more of them in the near future. Barf.
As for Brody needing a woman, he’s in a mental institute. I don’t think he needs a woman right now… although they are slowly starting the Brody/Jessica pairing. I think he just needs to get better and when he reintroduces himself into the real world, I think he and Layla would make a nice looking couple. They have history from the very beginning of his arrival on the show and it would be nice to see them rekindle that. Not to mention that Layla is practically invisible these days. Sad story!!
Now Todd… My beautiful Todd…
I’m happy that they are bringing back the scar. It’ll remind Todd that he hasn’t changed. He needs to get his stuff back together and take charge. He needs to clean his act up, hide in the shadows for a bit and then cause such a big stir with everyone in Llanview that they didn’t even see it coming. I want him to get real bad, real dark, real Todd. No more of this “changed” business. I know that Marty will eventually still be in love with Todd… I think she’ll get her hands on her journals while they were together and she’ll realize that she still loves him. It’s just a matter of time. Honestly, TPTB simply need to fix the Starr/Todd relationship and Todd will be redeemed. It’s silly, I know, but that’s what most fans liked most about Todd.
Ok… I’m getting off the soapbox now.
