These silly people had to go and cancel our favorite show!
Of course, I am not surprised that One Life to Live has been given the boot. It’s been over two years since I’ve written on this blog, mainly because—well, since they got rid of Kyle and Fish the show has been considerably rolling down a bumpy hill and hasn’t held my interest too much.
We were introduced to new (and a few old) characters, some seemingly fresh and intriguing, while others were unlikable from the very start (Cutter and Aubrey, anyone?) The story lines became completely ridiculous or just ran on far longer than needed (can someone finally resolve the paternity issue between John and Natalie?!) And so on and so forth…
In the past few months, OLTL has been improving. It’s not anywhere as good as it once was, but I had jut a bit of hope the rumors weren’t true. So when the dreaded cancellation notice was posted to the main website, my heart did sink just a bit. I have watched this show since I was a little girl with both my mama and my grandma. On Saturdays and Sundays, we would all get into silly arguments and discussions about the Llanview family as if they were a part of our lives. Even now as an adult, the phone conversations with my mom always creeps back around to “what’s going on with my stories?”
Once OLTL is gone, the daytime line-up will be empty without them. I know I won’t be watching the new cooking/health shows!
I hope for the best for the entire OLTL staff and crew! I know y’all are done with us yet. So fans, let’s all ride this out to the end!
